Hiking and skiing
Over 800 km of hiking trails open up a unique landscape between the Saualpe in the north and the Karawanks in the south. Summiteers tackle the two-thousand-meter Hochobir, the peaks of the Petzen massif or the peaks of the Steiner Alps on the Slovenian border alone or accompanied by certified mountain guides. The ideal guide in the Karawanks is the Bad Eisenkappel hiking competence center in the Vellachtal natural area.
